Gateway Care "Mens Shed" launched in Sept 2011 as an expansion program to our successful "Food Centre" operation.

With a large 500m2 warehouse / shed and 2,000m2 hardstand land area to work from, it is expected that our Mens shed will become a safe haven for blokes to hang out. 

It is said men don't talk face to face but shoulder to shoulder and as they meet, it is expected that Men issues including health and well being can be enhanced.

Our Men's shed operates from a heavy industrial zoned precinct and as such operations include, manufacturing, fabrication, production, welding, metal work, wood work, and other similar functions. 

There are many retired and semi retired tradies available to share their skills with the next generation and a natural mentoring process will evolve as the Mens shed takes shape. With initial numbers to start at 50 men it is expected this will increase in line with the heavy demand for this type of activity within the community.
